Opel has created a new scanner that is the first in Europe to have the capability to share data with an app on your smartphone. This tool can be called in the event of an accident, when you want to make sure all relevant information can be sent back to an emergency center. From there, personnel will be able to review it without having access to your car itself. The new device has been dubbed Scanner Can 2 0 1 9rapidsharerar by Opel for this reason. This tool has the ability to inform the authorities of any damage or other information that might be useful if an accident should occur. The new tool was presented at the 2018 IAA in Frankfurt, Germany, where it went on sale in Germany. The scanner is offered as an optional extra on all new Opel models, with prices ranging from 400 to 1,200 euros. It is not only designed for Opel models but also for other brands. The technology is being sold through Opel dealerships across Europe and Asia too. Plans are being made to have its availability become universal across the world by 2020. The original Scanner Can has earned several awards since its introduction in 2015. The tool earned the title of Connected Car of the Year in 2015, and soon found its way into Opel vehicles across the European market. It was also named Connected Car Innovation of the Year in 2016. This tool is also able to help in diagnosing problems in your car. It uses standard OBD-II protocols in order to do so, and can be used on any car made since 1996 where all these protocols are present. All you need is to plug the device into your vehicle’s OBD port, which is usually located under your dashboard. This scanner will then be able to tell you if there are engine problems or emission issues that might be affecting performance or fuel economy. In some cases, as with GPS devices for example, this information will go straight to the authorities. This device started as a prototype in 2015 and went on sale in 2016. It was first offered as an optional extra on Opel models from the Astra range. In 2017, it became available across all Opel models and is now standard equipment on all models. For this reason, it has been dubbed by its manufacturer as “Opel Scanner Can 2 0 1 9rapidsharerar”. The scanner can be bought separately or can be integrated into your car’s infotainment system by acquiring one of the compatible radio-navigation systems such as Opel's MyLink system. It can also be used to help prevent you from starting your engine if there is a need for service (such as an oil change) and you forgot. It is designed to prevent this from occurring. It has more than 75 different functions and is compatible with most Opel models. All of these models include the Mobi-Link system which allows you to connect your phone through Bluetooth. You can also get the latest software updates on the device which makes it possible for it to communicate with newer GPS systems, such as Google Maps and Waze. This new software update however only works on smartphones that use Android operating systems or are running iOS operating systems. cfa1e77820
